You will also be responsible for the promotion of The Haven Project and its role to schools and wider services within Hull.</p>
<p>The applicants will require excellent communication skills and experience in a similar role or working with young people would be an advantage. They will be able to work on their own initiative and possess excellent organisational ability. Good local knowledge would be an advantage.</p>
<p>This position is being advertised as a part time, short term contract until 31st December 2010 due to current funding. If further funding is made available for this project the length of contract may be extended.</p>

<p>The LYF is looking for a PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR who can replicate our successful West Yorkshire-based pilot ‘Young Ethical Entrepreneurs’ Group across the whole Yorkshire region.</p>
<p>Responsibilities will be to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Identify and develop relationships with ‘delivery organisations’ (i.e. local authorities, youth groups/social enterprises and community groups etc)</li>
<li>Establish a learning curriculum, apply for local funding and produce public information (website, blogs, PR materials – national, regional and local)</li>
<li>Implement relevant monitoring, assessment and evaluation systems for the YEEGs, manage budgets and report to LYF, YEEG’s steering group and with DFID</li>
<li>Promote the programme to businesses ( local and national) and securing mentoring, training, sponsorship and placements for the young people</li>
<li>Support the young people themselves (empowerment and learning experiences)</li>
</ul>
<p>Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Attributes</p>
<ul>
<li>At least two years experience of high quality project management</li>
<li>Good awareness and understanding or experience of business and enterprise</li>
<li>Experience of engaging with a range of stakeholders and personalities (i.e. including business sector, young people, youth leaders, senior local authority officers, press, politicians, religious leaders etc, BME community leaders, academics etc)</li>
<li>Awareness and understanding of international development and trade-justice issues and willingness to learn more</li>
<li>Budget management experience, sound financial skills, a dedication to enterprise and experience of applying for new funding sources</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience of using internet technlology for social networking and experience of working directly with young people</li>
<li>Flexible approach to work, willingness to sometimes work outside of normal office hours and to travel regularly within the Yorkshire region (and occasionally nationally)</li>
<li>Ability to work from home via computer and internet connection</li>
</ul>

<h2>Operations Manager – Post A</h2>
<p>Your overall aims will be:</p>

<li>To ensure that all Yorkshire MESMAC staff and volunteers are well managed and supported in their roles.</li>
<li>To develop, maintain and monitor systems that ensure that the contractual responsibilities of Yorkshire MESMAC’s group of services are met.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Salary</strong>: NJC PO1/2 starting at £27,849 + 5% pension and membership of Leeds Hospital Fund. Full time post 37 hours per week – Contract ongoing &#8211; reviewed annually.</p>
<h2>Training and Development Worker &#8211; Young men and boys being or at risk of being sexually exploited – Post B</h2>
<p>This Comic Relief funded post will see you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Developing, marketing and delivering a portfolio of training interventions, that supply participants with the knowledge and skills needed to identify sexual exploitation and allow them to take appropriate action</li>
<li>Undertaking outreach work where young men and boys being or at risk of being sexually exploited may be including the streets, and institutions.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Salary</strong>: NJC Scale 6 starting at £22, 221 pro rata + 5% pension and membership of Leeds Hospital Fund. 18.5 hours per week – 3 year project.</p>
