The new hotel in Hull opposite Myton Bridge and the tidal barrier has had modules successfully lifted into place at the new £10 million Premier Inn hotel. The hotel now well on it’s way past the pod installations has being built by Pure Urban as part of the first Boom development in Hull.

The structure has been designed in the UK and manufactured in the far east in China, the modules have now being installed by main contractors Multibuild. All the pods/modules have been pre-fitted off site with plumbing, electrics, and sanitary ware, after that on-site all that is required internally after installation is to add decorating touches, floor coverings and furniture. By the end of 2008 the exterior, the windows, wall covering and roof coverings will be fitted, and external frame and covering will be finished and ready for the final fit.

72 pods/modules are being used in the 136 bedroom hotel, is based in Tower Street, next to a main route through Hull and Myton Bridge. This part of The Boom scheme has being funded by the European Regional Development.

The hotel Premier Inn should be handed over to the Whitbread group in early 2009.The build also has a £4 million, 308 space multi-storey car park, this will serve both the hotel and The Boom riverside scheme to help with parking demands.
