The Two Ridings Community Foundation is seeking a motivated individual with financial expertise to join our board of trustees.
We are an independent charity helping to build thriving communities across North and East Yorkshire, York and Hull. We are an established member of UK Community Foundations and one of over 50 local Community Foundations across the country.
We seek to make the communities in our area better places to live both now and into the future. We do this by encouraging local giving and philanthropy, raising funds from individuals and businesses to establish long term endowment funds. This enables us to support local projects through targeted and effective grant giving for charities, voluntary groups and community projects in our area that are responding to local needs.
We are currently seeking a treasurer to join our board of trustees. We are looking for someone with financial experience, preferably with some knowledge of charity finance, who will:-
- Guide and advise the Board of Trustees on financial matters
- Guide and advise the Board of Trustees on the financial implications of the Foundation’s strategic plans
- Ensure that appropriate financial procedures and controls are in place
The day-to-day accounting and reporting is provided by the Foundations finance staff. Trustee meetings are usually held quarterly with additional sub committee meetings as required.
