Two Ridings Community Foundation is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. Do you have financial experience? Perhaps you would like to join our Board as Treasurer.
We are an independent charity helping to build thriving communities across North and East Yorkshire, York and Hull. We are an established member of UK Community Foundations and one of over 50 Community Foundations across the country.
We aim to make the communities in our area better places to live both now and into the future. We do this by encouraging local giving and philanthropy, raising funds from individuals and businesses to establish long term endowment funds. This enables us to support local projects through targeted and effective grant giving for charities, voluntary group and community projects in our area that are responding to local needs
As a trustee you will be at the centre of the action, helping to shape the Foundation’s direction and priorities, and promote the Foundation’s work. It is a great way to use your skills and experience for the benefit of the community as well as gaining new skills and experiences relating to management, strategy, teamwork and decision-making.
We are particularly interested in people with skills or expertise in the following areas/ issues:
- Investment management
- Charitable and/or voluntary sector
- Fundraising and or events management
Trustee meetings are usually held quarterly towards the end of the working day with additional sub committee meetings as required. All of our trustees also work to support the Foundation in other ways.
